Sports Desk:<\/strong> Sharmin Suptar, Ayesha Rahman, Jhelik, and Farzana Haque Pinki had the opportunity. They were shining brightly on their way to their first century in women’s first-class cricket. Ayesha went very close. Her innings stopped just 6 runs away from touching three figures. The rest were stuck in the eighty-eighty house. Where others missed the opportunity, Nigar Sultana Jyoti took the opportunity at hand with both hands.<\/p>\n

The captain of the Central Zone created history with heroic batting. Jyoti is the first centurion in first-class cricket for women cricketers. Jyoti played an innings of 153 runs against North Zone in a three-day match. She remained unbeaten after playing an innings of 150 off 256 balls with 20 fours and 2 sixes. This right-handed batsman showed patience in creating history. He was at the crease for 414 minutes.<\/p>\n

Central Zone declared their innings with a huge score of 387 runs for 8 wickets on the back of Jyoti’s century. North Zone bowler Jannatul Ferdous Sumana took 6 wickets for 113 runs.<\/p>\n

Earlier, North Zone opener Farzana Haque Pinky scored 86 runs at the Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi. Sharmin Supta scored 88 runs for East Zone at the Bangla Track Ground. In reply, South Zone opener Ayesha Rahman scored 94 runs and Jheelik scored 82 runs.<\/p>\n
