Cox’s Bazar Correspondent:<\/strong> The tourist ship movement from Cox’s Bazar to St. Martin has started. Today, the MV Bar Aulia ship left for the coral island with 620 passengers on the first day.<\/p>\n

On Sunday (December 1), at around 10 am, the ship left for St. Martin from the BIWT Ghat in Nuniarachara, Cox’s Bazar city.<\/p>\n

The matter was confirmed by Hossain Islam Bahadur, General Secretary of the Sea Cruise Operator Owners Association of Bangladesh, an organization of St. Martin tourist ship owners.<\/p>\n

Bahadur said that after a long closure of more than nine months, ship movement has started on the Cox’s Bazar-St. Martin route. Today, the Bar Aulia ship left for St. Martin with 620 passengers on the first day. As a result, in addition to the relief of tourists, there are smiles on the faces of tourism-related people.<\/p>\n

Nilufa Yasmin Chowdhury, convener of the Tourism Control Committee in St. Martin and Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO), said, “Today, a ship from Cox’s Bazar set off for St. Martin on the first day. We inspected everything.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, ships are not being allowed to sail from Teknaf for the time being due to the recent navigability crisis caused by the rising of submarines in the Naf River and the lack of security due to the shelling on the Myanmar border. Ships are only allowed to sail from Cox’s Bazar city.<\/p>\n

Every year, the government allows ships to sail on the Teknaf-St. Martin and Cox’s Bazar-St. Martin river routes for six months from October to March. Ships are closed for the remaining six months due to rough seas.<\/p>\n

Earlier, although the operation of tourist ships was supposed to start last Thursday, the ship-owning authorities decided to temporarily suspend the operation of tourist ships bound for St. Martin due to the passenger crisis.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
