He made such comments on Monday (November 25). BBC and Al Jazeera reported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The report said that Trump is taking this step to prevent illegal immigration and drug smuggling in the United States. Trump will be sworn in as president on January 20 next year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Monday, Trump said that after taking office, he will sign an executive order imposing a 25 percent tariff on all goods coming from Canada and Mexico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, Trump said that an additional 10 percent tariff will be imposed on China until the Chinese government stops smuggling the synthetic opioid fentanyl.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, the Biden administration called on China to take further steps to stop the production of fentanyl. Washington said that fentanyl was behind the deaths of at least 75,000 Americans last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Trump said on his social media account Social Truth that the tariffs against Mexico and Canada will remain in place until they take action against drug trafficking and illegal immigration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The newly elected president also said that both Mexico and Canada have the right and ability to easily resolve this long-standing issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In another post, Trump attacked China in harsh language.
