Badshah&#8217;s fruit shop and spread to all sides within a moment. However, the exact cause of the fire is not known. Fire service and traders claim that the fire started from an electrical short circuit. But locals say that the fire started from a mosquito coil.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this, Md. Badshah&#8217;s fruit shop, Md. Five shops, including Belal&#8217;s mobile shop, Chhotan Dey&#8217;s CNG workshop, Peyar Ahmed&#8217;s cooling corner, and Nurul Akhtar&#8217;s cooling corner, were completely burned down, causing a loss of Tk 20-22 lakh. A unit of the fire service tried for almost an hour to bring the fire under control.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shopkeeper Md. Belal, who was affected by the fire, said, &#8220;I had closed the shop at night and gone home to sleep. Suddenly I got a call that the shop was on fire. Later, I came and found everything burned to ashes. I had started the shop on loan. I don&#8217;t know what will happen now. I have lost Tk 8 lakh.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CNG workshop owner Chhotan Dey said, &#8220;My home is Raozan, Karnaphuli, and I run a workshop shop and somehow manage my household. Now everything has burned to ashes. I had given the shop on loan. I have lost Tk 10 lakh due to this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regarding the fire, Abhi Barua, the officer in charge of Karnaphuli Modern Fire Station, said, &#8220;On receiving the information, one of our units reached the spot and brought the fire under control.&#8221; However, the extent of the damage cannot be said with certainty now. The work of preparing a list of the affected people is underway.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, on Sunday night, a fire broke out near the shrine of Shah Chamiuddin Faruki in Ward No. 1 of the Charpatharghata Union of the upazila, destroying the shop of two brothers named Md. Saiful Islam and Md.
