After the murder, the young man went to the police station himself and surrendered to the police.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A young man named Hossain Mohammad Abid (28) committed such a sensational incident. He is the son of Niaz Ahmed of that area. The deceased woman is Anwara Begum Meri (55).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cox&#8217;s Bazar Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ilyas Khan confirmed that the murder took place at around 2:30 am on Friday (November 22).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a local resident and Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sourav, who went to the scene, Abid often tortured his mother for drug money. He brutally hacked his mother to death last night after not getting the money.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Only Abid and his mother were present in the house at the time of the murder. Abid&#8217;s father, Niaz Ahmed, is staying at his daughter&#8217;s house in Chittagong for treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Police said the deceased woman had injuries to her face, head, and hands from sharp weapons. After the murder, Abid himself went to the police station and locked the door from the outside and reported the murder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cox&#8217;s Bazar Sadar Police Station OC Ilias Khan said, &#8220;A man named Abid has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman in the city&#8217;s Barua Para. An investigation is underway to find out the reason behind the murder.
