International desk:<\/strong> The law banning clothing that covers the face in public places is coming into effect in Switzerland from January 1 next year. The country’s government reported this information last Wednesday (November 6). Reuters news.<\/p>\n

The country’s Federal Council announced in an announcement that the law banning the wearing of the burqa has been set for an effective date and that those who violate the law may be fined at least $1,144. Which is more than one lakh 37 thousand rupees in Bangladeshi currency.<\/p>\n

However, the Swiss government has said that the ban on wearing the burqa will not apply to aircraft, diplomatic, or consular areas. At the same time, the face will be covered in religious and holy places.<\/p>\n

Apart from this, there will be an opportunity to cover the face due to health, weather, and traditional reasons. Besides, there will be no barriers in the field of artistic or entertainment and advertising. The face will also be covered for personal protection. However, prior permission must be obtained from the authorities for this.<\/p>\n

In September last year, the country’s lower house of parliament voted to pass a ban on face coverings. The country’s National Assembly then approved the legislation by a vote of 151-29.<\/p>\n
