News desk:\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/strong>Donald Trump has been elected as the 47th President of the United States.<\/span><\/span> Meanwhile, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has accepted defeat in the election. <\/span><\/span>According to BBC reports, he spoke at Howard University in Washington on Wednesday local time. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kamala urged the supporters not to be disappointed.<\/span><\/span> He also promised to cooperate with the winner Donald Trump in the process of transition of power.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kamla said, ‘We must accept the results of this election.<\/span><\/span> I spoke with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory. <\/span><\/span> We will assist him (Trump) and his team in their transition and we will engage in a peaceful transfer of power.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

‘ <\/span><\/span>The Democratic candidate said he would not stop fighting for the issues he campaigned on despite the defeat. <\/span><\/span>Kamala said, ‘I accept defeat.<\/span><\/span> But our fight will not stop.<\/span><\/span> Fight for freedom, opportunity, dignity for people.’ <\/span><\/span>“Today my heart is full,” said Kamala, “I am grateful for the trust you have placed in me.”<\/span><\/span> All our love is for the country.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kamala also said, ‘You never give up.<\/span><\/span> Keep fighting.<\/span><\/span> Through this, America will always shine. <\/span><\/span>Kamala Harris told the young supporters, “It’s going to be okay.”<\/span><\/span> Fighting for our country is always worth it.<\/span><\/span> She says it’s okay to be sad and disappointed, but please know\u2014it’s going to be okay. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He added, ‘Sometimes the fight takes a while – that doesn’t mean we won’t win.<\/span><\/span> Don’t give up.<\/span><\/span> You have that power.’ <\/span><\/span>The US vice president said his party would fight “in a peaceful way”. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Harris said his work will continue in the background, as his team looks to fight “in a quiet way.”<\/span><\/span> Harris said they would continue to “work hard” because “hard work is good work”, referring to one of his election campaign slogans. <\/span><\/span>He also commented that freedom “must be upheld”.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Harris said, America will never give up the fight for democracy, for the rule of law, for equality and justice, and for rights and freedoms. <\/span><\/span>They must be respected and upheld.<\/span><\/span> We will continue this fight at the polls, in the courts and in the public square. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Harris also vowed to fight for women’s freedom.<\/span><\/span> He said despite his defeat against Trump, he will not stop fighting for the issues he has campaigned on for so long. <\/span><\/span>“I will never give up fighting for a future where Americans can fulfill their dreams, ambitions and aspirations, where American women have the freedom to make decisions about their own bodies and not have the government tell them what to do,” she said. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kamala said, I accept defeat in this election.<\/span><\/span> But I’m not giving up the fight. <\/span><\/span>“In our country, we owe allegiance not to any president or party, but to the Constitution of the United States and our conscience and our God,” he said. <\/span><\/span>Kamala also commented that the results of this election should be accepted.<\/span><\/span> He said, \u201cI know people are feeling different emotions right now.<\/span><\/span> I understand that too.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
