City Reporter:<\/strong> The Bar Association has arrested two members of a long-running Khatian forgery ring in the city’s Court Hill and handed it over to the police. More than 300 certificates, over 10 seals, and various items have been seized from them. The two arrested are Omar Gani and Jai Kandi Dey. They were arrested yesterday in a raid from a shop in Court Hill.<\/p>\n

In this case, the Deputy General Secretary of the Chittagong District Lawyers Association and Head of the Tout Removal Committee said that a case was filed yesterday at 11 p.m. Kashem Kamal told the media that a case has been filed against the names of seven people, including the two arrested. They are residents of various areas, including Hathazari, Anwara, and Roujan.<\/p>\n

He said that the accused had been deceiving the District Commissioner and the common people coming to the court building for a long time by impersonating themselves as officers and employees of the Chittagong District Commissioner’s office. The victims have complained to our association many times in this regard. We kept the fraudsters under observation. He also said that the tout eviction committee has conducted the operation in continuation of this.<\/p>\n

Lawyers association sources said that apart from certificates, seals, laptops, pen drives, and keyboards used in fraud have also been seized from the arrested. The fugitive accused Tarek, Sultan, Arif, and other accused entered the web site of the record room branch without permission by using the link to the record room branch of the district commissioner and printed the simultaneous copy of the khatian.
