But now it is increasing again This is because the old players in the market have become active again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And Director General of Consumer Directorate AHM Safikuzzaman said, &#8216;Now extortionists and syndicates have returned to their previous state. Only individuals or groups have been shuffled.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The price of coarse rice has increased by Rs 5-6 per kg in the last week One kg of coarse rice was priced at Tk 50 to Tk 54 a week ago, now its price is Tk 52 to Tk 60. The price of miniket rice has also increased by Rs.6 per kg<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Potato and onion prices have been high for several months A kilo of potato is now 55 to 60 taka Country onion 110 to 120 taka per kg The existing 25 percent import duty on potato imports has been reduced to 15 percent Apart from this, the regulatory duty of 3 percent on potato import and 5 percent on onion import has been completely withdrawn Still the prices of these two products are not decreasing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President of Bangladesh Auto Rice Mill Owners Association AKM Khorshed Alam Khan said, &#8220;If you ask why the price of rice is increasing, traders will tell you that there is less rice in the market, that&#8217;s why the price of rice has increased.&#8221; They will also talk about floods But the real story is elsewhere Now there is less paddy in the market but there is paddy with the paddy owners of northern region They have already bought paddy and stocked it Now they are taking the opportunity to increase the price and steal the profit A maximum of 30 chatal owners are controlling it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also said, &#8216;They were not active for a few days after the fall of the government Then the price of rice did not increase But now they are active again Earlier they were former food minister Sadhan Chandra&#8217;s people, now they have changed their ways and started syndicates as new people. Earlier they used to say Jai Bangabandhu, now they say Jai Yunus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When asked if there is a risk of further increase in the price of rice, he said, &#8220;It will take one and a half months for the new paddy to grow.&#8221; If this syndicate is not broken, the rice market may become more unstable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The price of broiler chicken has increased by Tk 10 per kg Two weeks ago, the price of broiler chicken was Rs 170 per kg, which is now selling at Rs 180. Broiler prices are higher in some places The price of golden chicken has also increased by 10 taka to 260 taka per kg The price of farm chicken brown eggs has increased by five rupees per dozen A dozen eggs are being sold at the rate of Tk 155 to 160 And farm chicken white eggs are being sold at the price of Tk 150 per dozen Still five rupees increased<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The price of most vegetables has decreased slightly but the price of chilli is increasing<br \/>\nPresident of Bangladesh Poultry Association Suman Howladar said, &#8216;The price of chicken and eggs depends on the poultry feed. 70% of the total cost of production is feed cost Feed prices have not come down What was there before is there Government policies and syndicates are responsible for this high feed price Still, the price is supposed to drop But it is not decreasing because of corporates They still fix the price of eggs and chicken by syndicate Only a few traders are controlling the market After the fall of the government, they were somewhat subdued for a few days, but now they are active again And many farms have been damaged due to floods.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the price of farmed fish is stable, the export to India is stopped and the price of hilsa is still high even though it is hilsa season. 1 kg of hilsa is being sold at 1600 taka per kg. Hilsa weighing 800-900 grams per kg 1400 to 1 thousand 500 taka And for every kilogram of hilsa weighing 500 to 600 grams, 1200 to 1300 taka has to be multiplied.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vice President of Consumers Association of Bangladesh SM Najer Hossain said, &#8220;After the fall of the government, the prices of daily commodities decreased. Then the extortion stopped But now the price is increasing again Because syndicates and extortionists are back in the market Laxity in the administration including the police Due to lack of police operations are not being conducted. Magistrates are also not available to run mobile courts As a result, the law is not enforced If the government focuses on monitoring the market, strictly enforces the law, then there is no scope for price increase The government should look into this.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, now is the time to regulate the market Because, after the uprising of the students, the field is now fully prepared If you delay, it will completely revert to the previous state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AHM Safikuzzaman, Director General of Consumer Affairs Department, said, &#8220;I myself visited some other markets including Karwan Bazaar.
