As a result, the water level has reached near the danger level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When contacted at 11:30 am on Saturday (August 24), manager of Kaptai Water Power Plant, ATM Abduzzaher, he said that till 11 am on Saturday, the water level in Kaptai Lake is 107.43 feet MSL (Min Sea Level).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The concerned engineers of the power plant said that Kaptai Lake has reached a danger level up to 108 feet MSL, and if it reaches this level, the water of Kaptai Lake may be released.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the control room of the power plant, at present there is more water in the lake than required according to the rule curve, as a result of which the 5 units of the Kaptai water power plant are generating a maximum of 219 megawatts of electricity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, maximum power generation of 230 to 240 MW is possible from 5 units.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kaptai representative: Although there has been no rain in Kaptai Lake and the upazilas around the lake for the last 2 days, the water in Rangamati&#8217;s Kaptai Lake is increasing hour by hour due to heavy rains coming down from upstream for 4 consecutive days.
