In this, 79 people were named, and 300 people were named as unknown accused.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to the former MP, several UP chairman, councilors, Awami League leaders, and activists, including Jubo League and Chhatra League, are accused in the case. On August 4, around 30 students were shot dead by some armed leaders and activists of the Awami League and their affiliates during the protest march of students. On the orders of the former MP, Jubo League leaders DM Zamir Uddin and Balu Saifu led the firing on the students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to various sources, on August 4, the leaders and activists of the Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League, led by the former MP of Patia Constituency of Upazila Parishad, Motaherul Islam, took a position in front of his office. Around 11 o&#8217;clock, when the students were crossing the Munsefbazar area with protest, shots were fired at the students&#8217; procession. Videos and pictures of the shooting went viral on social media at the time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier on July 18, when the students started a procession, the students were attacked under the leadership of DM Zamiruddin and Balu Saifu on the orders of MP Motaher. At this time, the BNP office at Collegegate was vandalized.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to a local source, former MP Motaherul Islam fled after August 5 and is staying in the Benapole area on the Indian border. He is trying hard to escape to India.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">General Secretary of Patia Upazila BNP Khorshed Alam said that it has been confirmed that former MP Motaherul Islam was involved in the incident of shooting at students and vandalizing BNP office.
