City Reporter:<\/strong> The City Awami League office at Darul Fazal Market in Chittagong was vandalized and set on fire. The office was set on fire at about four o’clock in the afternoon on Monday. In addition, Awami League leader and City Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury’s house was set on fire after vandalism. Similarly, a fire was set in the residence of ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Member of Parliament of Raujan.<\/p>\n

From three o’clock in the afternoon, people began to gather in various parts of the city in small processions. Among these are Newmarket, Dampara, Kotwali, Pravartak Mor, Bahaddarhat, Chowkbazar, and other places in the city.<\/p>\n

Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury’s house was vandalized. Then the fire was lit. The mayor was not at home at that time. But his family members were at home.<\/p>\n

A group from the Newmarket intersection set fire to the party office at Darul Fazal Market.
