The incident took place in the Chaitamor area of the upazila.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The assistant, Rezaul Karim Kiran, is working in the LGED office of Upazila. It is alleged that Rezaul often abuses the people of the area in a drunken state. In this incident, the victim woman filed a written complaint at the office of the Upazila Engineer on Monday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the complaint, on Sunday afternoon, on the way from Barisal to Barguna in the rain, the victim got off her motorcycle in Chaitamor Elka and stopped at a tea shop. Rezaul Karim Kiran suddenly appeared in that shop. As soon as he got up to the shop, he started asking the woman various questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The woman said, &#8220;They first asked me where I came from, where I am going, why I am going, how old I am, and whether I am going alone.&#8221; He started asking these questions. When I wanted to know the reason for these questions, he started abusing me with obscene language. At one point, when my younger brother, who was with me, forbade him, he came repeatedly to kill me and my brother. At that time, people around the tea shop came and stopped him. Put another store next to us. Later, I came to know that Rezaul was working as an assistant in the office of the Upazila Engineer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They also said that he was a regular drinker and misbehaved with almost everyone when he was drunk. As a woman, I am embarrassed by the behavior of a government official. I demand a fair trial.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tea shopkeeper Shimu Begum said, I am also a woman; such behavior with a pedestrian woman on the street is really bad. The incident happened inside my shop. Rezaul did not stop, even if we stopped him. Moreover, he often comes to my shop drunk. Don&#8217;t even give money after eating food. If you want money, go away from abuse. We are embarrassed by his actions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rezaul Karim said, &#8220;I was hot that day. I did not misbehave with that woman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">When asked about drinking alcohol, he said, &#8216;I work regularly; everyone is saying fake things about me; I don&#8217;t drink alcohol.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Upazila Engineer (LGED) Md. Alamgir Badshah told the media that he has received a written complaint in this incident.
