{"id":16108,"date":"2024-06-29T10:25:56","date_gmt":"2024-06-29T10:25:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=16108"},"modified":"2024-06-29T10:25:56","modified_gmt":"2024-06-29T10:25:56","slug":"1-arrested-with-foreign-liquor-worth-tk-17-lakh-in-anwara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/16108\/","title":{"rendered":"1 arrested with foreign liquor worth Tk 17 lakh in Anwara"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Anwara Correspondent:<\/strong> Police arrested a pickup driver named Amir Hossain (19) with 190 bottles of foreign liquor worth Tk 17 lakh in Chittagong&#8217;s Anwara upazila.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was arrested from the Gobadia area of the Barshat Union of the Upazila around 2.30 am on Friday (June 28).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is known that the arrested Amir Hossain is the son of Kamal Uddin of Khedachra village in Matiranga police station in Khagrachari district.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to police sources, based on a tip-off, 190 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands were recovered in a pickup from Gobadia Road.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nThe officer in charge (OC) of Anwara police station, Sohail Ahmed, said that it is believed that these liquors were released from the ship and taken towards Chittagong city. It is not yet possible to know the details.
