Several intelligence officers said that he has been detained for questioning the murder of MP Anna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Awami League leader Mintu is one of the planners behind the sensational MP Anna&#8217;s murder. Several officials of the local administration have confirmed this fact. Along with the Metropolitan Detective Police, several intelligence agencies are conducting investigations into Anna&#8217;s murder. Behind this is gold smuggling, drug trafficking, and hundi traders in the South West region, who were being protected by several influential MPs. These MPs not only protect gold smuggling, drug trafficking, and hundi business controllers in the South West region, but they are also involved in the MP nomination trade, multiple sources said. Earlier, Jhenaidah Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Kazi Kamal Ahmed Babu was arrested by the Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) on Sunday. After killing MP Anar in a second-floor apartment in Sanjiba Garden, Kolkata, the killers sent a picture of Awami League leaders Kazi Kamal and Mintur sitting naked on a chair with tape on their faces. DB arrested them on the basis of sending pictures on mobile phones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">MP Annar Jhenaidah wanted to become general secretary of the Awami League. This led to a dispute with Mintu, who was arrested with him. Many in his constituency believe that Mintu is one of the masterminds behind the murder. Several sources have confirmed that the absconding Aktaruzzaman Shaheen, the main planner of Anna&#8217;s murder, is close to the leaders and influential MPs of the district Awami League. The MP also gifted Anna a Prado model car at the wedding of an influential MP&#8217;s daughter. That influential MP was not satisfied with Anar. Since 2014, the MP has single-handedly controlled gold smuggling, drug trafficking, and the hundi trade in the southwest region of Ana. All these businessmen used to get 15 to 20 crore rupees per month from the mafia for bringing MPs. There is a dispute with some former and current influential MPs about the share of this money. Among them, an influential MP was getting two crore rupees per month through Anar. But since becoming an MP in 2014, Annar has not given this share of money to current and former influential MPs. This is also one of the reasons for killing him. Hundreds of people have been killed in the region over control of the gold smuggling, drug, and hundi trade. But not a single murder was prosecuted due to a lack of witness evidence. The same fate was meted out to those who were supposed to witness the murder. As a result, no one can testify in these cases. Because of this, the disenfranchised are deprived of justice. The residents of his constituency, Jhenaidah-4, also expressed the same sentiments regarding the killing of MP Anar. His relatives are also saying the same thing. There are also allegations that those influential MPs are trying to protect the murderers behind this murder.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Metropolitan Detective Police Chief Haroon Or Rashid said we will arrest those who are involved in his murder. Many leaders are already under intelligence surveillance.
