The government has become increasingly isolated due to the destruction and rising prices of daily commodities and above all the unemployment problem. The government uses the administration in various ways, the government along with the police and intelligence agencies are engaged in trying to thwart the activities of the opposition parties, including the BNP, party armourers, terrorist cadres openly using arms. In the meantime, seven-eight BNP leaders have been killed for political reasons in different districts. Hundreds of new false cases have been filed. Thousands of opposition leaders and activists have been arrested for harassment. The LDP president said, ‘Apparently, the nation seems to be heading towards economic destruction and conflict very quickly. In such a situation, the government should show common sense.
