It is &#8216;Tapentadol Hydrochloride&#8217;. This tablet has now become the drug of choice for addicts as it is available in rural areas at a lower price than Yaba. Analysts say that tapentadol tablets are many times more harmful than Yaba. Its consumption increases the risk of death.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the concerned sources, tapentadol hydrochloride is mainly a painkiller. It was earlier marketed by a few pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh. In 2020, the government declared it a class &#8216;B&#8217; drug. Since then, the production of this tablet has been stopped in the country. However, various pharmaceutical companies in the neighboring country of India are producing these tablets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to intelligence sources, tapentadol has become popular as an alternative to drug addiction when law enforcement forces are on the ground against Yaba across the country. Shipments of tapentadol tablets are coming from neighboring countries, bypassing various borders. Drug smugglers are bringing these tablets and handing them over to Yaba traders. Others are selling these tablets in different pharmacies in Gramganj. Some pharmacy owners are handing out these tablets to drug addicts for the sake of more profit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is known that the retail price of tapentadol hydrochloride 100 mg in neighboring countries is 11 taka 50 paisa per piece. It is smuggled to Bangladesh and sold for 30 to 35 taka per piece. And drug sellers or pharmacy owners sell to drug addicts for 100 to 150 taka per piece. These tablets are available in different colors, including red and yellow. It looks exactly like Yab. Sometimes drug dealers mix it with Yaba tablets and sell it at a higher price.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A drug dealer, on the condition of anonymity, told the media that these tablets are consumed by drug addicts just like Yaba and heroin. For several years, this tablet has been trying to be sold as an alternative to Yaba. However, the acceptance of this tablet has increased among Yabasebi for a few months. Leaving Yaba, they tend to it. It is also less risky to sell. Till now, not all members of the law enforcement force have even recognized this tablet. Due to this, it is also very convenient to carry. Can be carried as medicine.\u00a0He said this tablet is available under different names, including Tapenta, Pentadol, and Silta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Directorate of Narcotics Control Education, Research, and Publication Director (ongoing duty) Md. Mojibur Rahman Patwari told the media on Tuesday that Yaba is basically known as a crazy drug. Yaba consumption causes temporary excitement, with subsequent damage. But the reaction of tapentadol hydrochloride is completely opposite to that of yaba. Consuming it causes jhimuni. I don&#8217;t understand why drug addicts are using this antidote as an alternative to Yaba. He said that we and other law enforcement agencies are continuing to monitor it. Several large consignments have also been seized in the past. Rahmat is a resident of the Rupnagar area of Mirpur. He works as a transport worker. Rahmat has been consuming yaba since 2020. For the past the past three to four months, he has been taking tapentadol tablets instead of Yaba.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rahmat said the price of Yaba is high; moreover, the police caught it. That&#8217;s why I took Tape (Tapentadol). He said there is no way to understand if it is Yaba or another drug. It can be taken like yaba.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anti-drug and anti-smoking organization Mansa founder Professor Dr. Aruparatan Chowdhury told the media that the consumption of this tablet caused various physical symptoms. The consumer dies suddenly of respiratory arrest. Besides, biological energy decreases.
