The Crime Desk:<\/strong> Central Women’s Awami League organizer Syeda Razia Mostafa’s ancestral house in Fatikchari Upazila’s Maijvander Darbar Sharif has been reduced to a 15-meter pile of rubble due to a terrible fire. Last Thursday (May 16) at 4.40 pm, all kinds of necessary furniture and important documents inside the residence were burned to ashes, and it is estimated that there has been a loss of Rs. Syeda Razia Mustafa, the organizing secretary of the Central Women’s Awami League, came to Chittagong from Dhaka during the Biman era after hearing the news of the fire.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, on May 17, the day after the incident, Minister of Freedom Fighters Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque MP, Chittagong Zilla Parishad Chairman ATM Payrul Islam, Bangladesh Supreme Party Chairman Shahzada Syed Saifuddin Ahmad Maizbhandari, and others visited the site, and Syeda Razia Mostafa was present.<\/p>\n

In this regard, Syeda Razia Mostafa said that no one lives in our village house. A caretaker looked after me. He also burned to death during the incident. We come home sometimes. We are seven alive out of 10 brothers and sisters, and our entire living room has now turned into a pile of rubble. 2-3 crores of damage have been done. We believe in the freedom of the family and the order of the country. Awami League has never done corruption of 2 rupees anywhere. I seek the support of Bangabandhu’s daughter, Prime Minister Jannetri Sheikh Hasina. My family is grateful to the Hon’ble Minister, who is comforting me in this difficult time.<\/p>\n

Caretaker Ali Hossain (45), who was killed in the incident, jumped from the 2nd floor to escape the fire and died on the spot. Caretaker Ali Hossain’s home is said to be in the Barhatt area of Ranigaon Union in Munshiganj. He was sleeping on the second floor of that building. When he saw the fire and jumped down to save his life, he fell into the fire and died there.<\/p>\n

Confirming the truth of the incident, Fatikchari Fire Service Station Officer Dolar Tripura said that as soon as the information was received, the fire service team went to work. However, many parts of the house were completely destroyed, and almost all the furniture was burned to ashes. A fire can occur from an electrical short circuit.<\/p>\n
