The implementation of the ban was detailed in a press release on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the press release, to make the ban a success, monitoring will be intensified at the ports of entry, and fishing vessels will be 100% closed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, in order to stop the transportation of marine fish, the coastal ice mills will be kept open at a limited level, and the fishing vessels in the sea will be kept at anchor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">VGF has been allocated to 3 lakh 11 thousand 62 fisherman families at the rate of 86 kg for 65 days in two installments as an emergency alternative income or food assistance to the fishermen who have stopped fishing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has written to the Public Security Department and the Armed Forces Department, respectively, seeking the active cooperation of the Bangladesh Coast Guard, Bangladesh Naval Police, and Bangladesh Navy to stop illegal fishing by any type of boat in the sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Fisheries Department has set up a control room to implement the ban. Besides, three departmental monitoring teams have been formed in the Barisal, Chittagong, and Khulna divisions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also, publicity activities have been carried out among the fishermen by holding banners, leaflets, posters, miking, and awareness meetings locally.
