The general secretary of the party, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader confirmed this information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Wednesday (November 23), Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua confirmed the matter in a press release. Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia is a member of the Awami League Central Executive and a former Member of Parliament from the reserved women&#8217;s seat.<\/p>\n<p>According to the circular, Awami League&#8217;s Local Government People&#8217;s Representative Nomination Board President and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina&#8217;s General Secretary Obaidul Quader has announced Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia as Awami League&#8217;s candidate for the post of mayor in the upcoming Rangpur City Corporation elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Incidentally, Rangpur City polling will be held on December 27. The last date for filing nominations is 29 November. Last day for selection of nomination papers on December 1 and withdrawal of nomination papers is December 8.
