According to the provisions of the Citizenship Act, 1951, and the Bangladesh Citizenship (Temporary Provision) Order, 1972, persons who are citizens of Bangladesh are not required to submit a dual citizenship certificate for registration of their national identity and inclusion in the electoral roll. National Identity Card\/Bangladeshi Passport\/Driving Licence\/Online Birth Certificate\/Online Death Certificate (where applicable) and from the concerned City Corporation\/Municipality\/Union Parishad as proof in favor of being a Bangladeshi citizen of the applicant&#8217;s parents\/grandparents as per this Act and Order A copy of the issued citizenship certificate must be submitted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. A Bangladeshi expatriate who has acquired the citizenship of another country and has received a dual citizenship certificate issued by the Security Services Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs can also be given national identity and included in the voter list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. As per Rule 4 of the Bangladesh Citizenship (Temporary Provisions) Rules, 1978, in the case of foreign nationals who have acquired Bangladesh citizenship through marriage, submission of a civil certificate, marriage certificate, and spouse&#8217;s national identity card issued by the Security Service Department for registration of national identity and inclusion in the voter list. have to do<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. If a citizen of Bangladesh renounces the citizenship of Bangladesh on the condition of accepting the citizenship of another country, the Election Commission can cancel the national identity card of that person and give instructions to remove his name from the voter list, subject to appropriate evidence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. After receipt of applications for national identity registration and voter lists submitted by expatriate Bangladeshis, including biometric data, settlement within 7 working days and uploading of data within 2 working days must be ensured.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">6. Bangladeshi citizens living in diaspora should follow the Constitution of Bangladesh, Citizenship Act, Voter List Act, National Identity Registration Act, and all related regulations in the matter of registration of national identity and inclusion of names in voter lists.
