Eidgaon Correspondent:<\/strong> Bangladesh Betar, Cox’s Bazar organized an innovation fair for children on the occasion of World Children’s Day 2022 today on Sunday afternoon. UNICEF Bangladesh’s SBC Team Leader Mr. Georgina Methenga delivered the chief guest’s welcome speech at the event organized at Eidgaon Government Primary School Auditorium funded by UNICEF Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the Chief Guest emphasized on mutual love, care and participation\/opportunity to integrate all children, including children with disabilities, into the mainstream of society. He urged to spread such programs among the students of all schools to build a healthy and strong nation. He urged the children to develop themselves physically and mentally through regular studies, sports and taking nutritious food.<\/p>\n

Mohammad Ashraf Kabir, Regional Director of Bangladesh Betar, Cox’s Bazar Center delivered the welcome speech. Bangladesh Betar Assistant Director (Events) Mohammad Soltan Ahmad conducted it and gave guidance on the health protection of children, District Sadar Hospital Emergency Medical Officer Dr. Asim Sutradhar and Nutritionist Dr. Mita Dash. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, outgoing head teacher, congratulated. At that time, acting head teacher of venue school Hasnat Ara Begum, SBC officer of UNICEF Md. Rashidul Hasan, Bangladesh Betar, correspondent of Cox’s Bazar Md. Rezaul Karim and related persons of UNICEF were present.<\/p>\n

The program of the fair included discussion, question and answer on health related topics like Khushi painting, radio listening, music, chat, sports, quiz etc. Parents and students who came to the fair participated in various questions and exchange of views on health. The attending doctors answered the questions. It was attended by the members of the youth radio audience club of various classes of secondary and primary schools. Three grounds were opened at the fair. The stalls are called ‘Radio Listening and Music Corner’, ‘Parents, Teachers and Children Corner’ and ‘Paint as You Like Corner’.<\/p>\n

Other speakers say that books are not lifeless. A book can change a society and a nation. By reading books, one’s skills and experience are enriched. Just like taking care of a garden gives good results, taking care of one’s studies can make one a worthy person. To keep yourself healthy and safe, follow the instructions of parents and teachers. Eat vegetables and small fish regularly. Regular healthy and nutritious food should be taken in moderation. All children should be treated equally. Pay attention to studies. We should develop ourselves as good people. Be aware of the harmful effects of mobile phones. The speakers commented that reading books is necessary for mental development. They said that sports are necessary for physical and mental health. Exercising keeps the body and mind happy.<\/p>\n

The negotiators called for the protection of children from the ongoing threat of dengue. For this, he emphasized on keeping the surrounding environment clean.<\/p>\n

Speakers said that parents should take care that students do not misuse mobile phones. To increase the immune system, eat seasonal fruits and vegetables. Rotten, stale and smelly food should be avoided. Foods rich in vitamin C are very useful for children’s bodies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
