In addition, the US military presence in Niger has been declared completely illegal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Niger government announced the cancellation of the 2012 military cooperation agreement last Saturday. News: Al-Jazeera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Government spokesman Amadou Abd Ramane said in a statement that, considering the aspirations and interests of the people of the country, the government of Niger has responsibly decided to sever military ties with America, and it will be implemented quickly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abrogation of the agreement would render the US military presence on Niger territory illegal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A high-level military delegation led by the US Assistant Under Secretary for African Affairs visited Niger this week.
