There is nothing to panic about.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Sunday (March 17) around 5:30 p.m., a senior official of SR Shipping, who did not wish to be named, gave this information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The official said that the sailors of the hostage ship, MV Abdullah, are all fine. The ship remains where it was yesterday. So far, the pirates have not demanded any ransom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the official said that all the information is not being disclosed due to strategic reasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier on Friday, around 3:30 pm, the ship&#8217;s chief officer, Captain Md. Atiq Ullah Khan, said in an e-mail message that the ship was anchored off the coast of Somalia on Thursday (March 14). After a one-day break, &#8216;MV Abdullah&#8217; started running again. On Friday morning, the anchor was dropped at the command of the pirates. The pirates then ordered the ship to sail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, an Indian warship is keeping an eye on the Bangladeshi ship &#8216;MV Abdullah&#8217; held hostage by Somali pirates. Along with Indian warships, a long-range maritime patrol aircraft has also been stationed in the vicinity to assist the Bangladeshi vessels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Incidentally, on March 4, the ship MV Abdullah, owned by Bangladesh&#8217;s SR Shipping, left for the United Arab Emirates with coal from Maputo port in Mozambique. Later on Tuesday (March 12), at around 1.30 p.m., news broke that Somali pirates had taken control of the MV Abdullah.
