It was also informed in the briefing that the two arrested people have been handed over to the Comilla police.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, Avantika&#8217;s mother, Tahmina Shabnam, filed a case at Comilla Kotwali Model Police Station last night (March 16), alleging abetment of suicide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the statement, Avantika&#8217;s mother mentioned that Fairuz Sadaf Avantika (24) was studying a Masters in Law at Jagannath University. My daughter got a seat in the Jagannath University hostel as per the merit list. Avantika told me that her classmate Raihan Siddique Amman sexually harassed her in various ways, and even after reporting the matter to the former assistant proctor of the university, Deen Islam, he did not take any action against Amman; instead, he abused my daughter with obscene language on behalf of Amman. That&#8217;s why my daughter didn&#8217;t think it was safe to stay in the hostel and started staying in the girls&#8217; mess near the university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But the two accused did not stop. They started monitoring Avantika&#8217;s movements through some of her classmates. Through them, my daughter is also being abused in various ways. Meanwhile, Avantika moved to Comilla&#8217;s house on March 14. The other-minded Avantika tells me that the problem that left the university hostel and went to the mess has become more pronounced. That is, the defendant, Raihan Siddique Amman, is more than ever sexually harassing my daughter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tahmina Begum claimed, &#8220;Former Assistant Proctor Deen Islam called my daughter to the office six to seven times on Amman&#8217;s behalf and defamed her.&#8221; Even if my daughter Comilla leaves, she will be promoted as a bad girl, as if my daughter is forced to commit suicide. Due to these reasons, my daughter committed suicide by hanging herself at Bangichagao House in Comilla City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Avantika committed suicide at her home in the Bagichagaon Fire Service area of Comilla City around 10 p.m. on Friday. Earlier, he blamed two people for the death on his Facebook ID.
