Sports Desk:<\/strong> There is an uproar across India over the much-discussed Mahadev betting app scandal. In the meantime, many important people in the country have been accused of investing in the app. Now, sensational information has come forward.<\/p>\n

The name of Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan’s sister, Jannatul Hasan, has come up in the investigation of India’s central investigative agency, the Enforcement Directorate, or ED. Such sensational information has come to light in a report by Indian media outlets India Today Online and Aztak.<\/p>\n

It is known that two businessmen, Girish Talreja and Suruj Chokhani, have been arrested in the investigation of the betting app scandal.<\/p>\n

According to ED sources, Suraj Chokhani invested in a betting app called 11wicket.com in Bangladesh. It was Suruj who originally brought the name of Shakib Al Hasan’s sister to the public. He claimed that the Tiger all-rounder’s sister, Jannatul Hasan, had a big stake in that investment.<\/p>\n

India’s ED last year unearthed massive financial corruption through an online gaming platform called the Mahadev Betting App. In the investigation of that incident, many Rathi-Maharathi names for India came up.<\/p>\n

Bangladesh’s poster boy Shakib Al Hasan was banned from cricket for one year in October 2019 for not informing the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) anti-corruption unit despite being offered spot-fixing. Two years ago, he was involved in a controversy for being associated with a betting company. Later, Shakib withdrew from there. This time, Shakib is again in the discussion on the sister scandal. However, no statement has been received from the Tiger cricketer or the law enforcement agencies of Bangladesh in this regard yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
