In the first phase, in the morning, Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Lebanon, hoisted the national flag along with the national anthem at the embassy premises in the presence of embassy officials and expatriate Bangladeshis and paid tribute by placing wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the second phase, a discussion meeting was held in the embassy meeting room on the occasion of the historic March 7 celebrations. At the beginning of the program, recitations from the Holy Qur&#8217;an were performed. A documentary on the historical speech of the Father of the Nation on March 7 was screened at the event. On the occasion of the day, the officials of the embassy read the speeches of the honorable president and the honorable prime minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the beginning of his speech, the ambassador paid deep respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Besides, he reverently remembered the contribution of the brave freedom fighters and victims who sacrificed their lives in the liberation war. The father of the nation said about the historic March 7 speech that it inspired and united the Bengali nation to achieve the independence of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also said that the international recognition of the historic March 7 speech of the Father of the Nation is a rare honor and glory for the Bengali nation, and this historic speech will be an eternal source of inspiration not only for us but also for the freedom-seeking people of the world. At that time, he quoted some parts of Bangabandhu&#8217;s speech. Finally, the Ambassador appealed to Bangladeshi expatriates living in Lebanon to contribute to the construction of &#8216;Smart Bangladesh&#8217; by the Honorable Prime Minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Embassy officials, employees, and expatriate Bangladeshis living in Lebanon participated in the two separate events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Crime Desk: The historic 7th March Day was celebrated with due dignity by the initiative of Bangladesh Embassy Beirut.
