During this time, the volume of transactions with the index decreased. Besides, the market capitalization of both stock exchanges decreased by more than 2 thousand 470 crores (15 lakh taka) in the outgoing week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This information was revealed in the weekly market review on Saturday (March 2).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the last working day of the farewell week, 3 thousand 370 crores, 14 lakhs, and 70 thousand takas were traded on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). And in the week before the farewell week, the transaction was 3 thousand 508 crores, 38 lakhs, and 60 thousand taka. That is, the transaction in DSE has decreased by 138 crore, 23 lakh, and 90 thousand in the span of a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The market capitalization of DSE on the last working day of the week preceding the farewell week was Tk 7 lakh, 62 thousand, 14 crore, 74 lakh, 56 thousand, 801. And on the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capital stood at 7 lakh, 60 thousand, 723 crore, 48 lakh, 35 thousand, 4 taka. That is, the market capital has decreased by 1 thousand 291 crores, 26 lakhs, and 21 thousand 737 takas within a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the week, DSE&#8217;s main index, DSEX, fell 19.42 points, or 0.05 percent, to 6254 points. Among other indices, the DSE Shariah index decreased by 0.70 points, or 0.31 percent, to 1 thousand 359 points, and the DSE-30 index decreased by 12.78 points, or 0.60 percent, to 2 thousand 126 points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A total of 410 institutional shares and units were traded on DSE in the outgoing week. Among the institutions, 136 advanced, 232 declined, 31 were unchanged, and 11 were not traded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another capital market, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), traded 67 crore, 35 lakh, 94 thousand, 825 taka on the last working day of the outgoing week. And in the week before the farewell week, 73 crore, 84 lakh, 64 thousand, and 6 taka were traded. That is, the transaction in DSE decreased by 6 crore, 48 lakh, 69 thousand, and 181 rupees during the week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The market capitalization of CSE on the last working day of the week preceding the farewell week was Tk 7 lakh, 54 thousand, 180 crore, and 26 lakh. And on the last working day of the outgoing week, the market capital stood at 7 lakh 53 thousand 1 crore 36 lakh 60 taka. That is, the market capital has decreased by 1 thousand, 178 crore, 89 lakh, and 50 thousand taka in a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the week, the overall index of CSE CASPI decreased by 76 points, or 0.42 percent, to 17 thousand 928 points. Among other indices of CSE, CSCX decreased by 0.36 percent to 10,744 points, the CSE-30 index decreased by 0.51 percent to 13,346 points, and the CSI index decreased by 0.28 percent to 1,148 points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A total of 337 companies&#8217; shares and units were traded on the CSE during the outgoing week.
