The Election Commission (EC) published the gazette with the winners of the women&#8217;s seats on Tuesday (February 27).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After publishing the gazette in the name of the winning candidates, it will be sent to the secretariat of the National Assembly. The Parliament Secretariat will then organize the swearing-in of these members. Members of parliament from reserved female seats will join parliament after taking the oath.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier last Sunday (February 25), all candidates were declared unopposed, as no candidate withdrew their nomination for the reserved women&#8217;s seat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the electoral rules, women&#8217;s seats are allocated in proportion to the number of seats won by parties in direct elections. The ruling Awami League has nominated candidates for 48 reserved women&#8217;s seats with the support of alliance partners and independent candidates.
