He died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 7:30 pm on Saturday (November 19).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Convenor of Bancharampur Upazila Chhatra Dal. Anwar Hossain confirmed this. Son of Rahmat Ullah of Charshibpur area of \u200b\u200bNayan Upazila. He is the vice president of Sonarampur Union Chhatra Dal of the upazila.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bancharampur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Noore Alam told the media, &#8220;I have heard that Nayan Mia has died.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It should be noted that BNP&#8217;s mass meeting will be held in Comilla on November 26. At the center of this mass rally, the leaders and workers of BNP and organizations distributed leaflets in the Upazila Sadar area around 3:30 pm. After distribution of leaflets, the procession was led by the former VP of Bangladesh Agricultural University Sayeduzzaman Kamal from the house of Molla Sadar of Upazila. They chanted different slogans from the procession. The procession passed the upazila sadar bazaar, Bancharampur police station and upazila parishad area and gathered again in front of Molla Bari mosque.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Police gathered there under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge (OC) Noor Alam of Bancharampur police station. The police went to arrest Sayeduzzaman Kamal at that time. Then there was a chase after a fight with the police. BNP leaders and workers threw bricks at the police. Meanwhile, Nayan was shot in the stomach and fell on the ground. Locals rescued him and first took him to Bancharampur Upazila Health Complex and later to Dhaka for better treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Police arrested two BNP workers Rafiqul Islam (42) and Saidur Rahman (25) from the spot. 6 policemen were injured during the chase and brick pelting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The injured policemen are Bancharampur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Noore Alam (41), Inspector (Investigation) Tarun Kandi Dey (32), Sub-Inspector Afzal Hossain (30), Bikiran Chakma (32), Constable Shafiqul Islam (33). and Biswajit Chandra Das (26).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Chhatra Dal leader Nayan Mia (22) who was shot dead in a clash between BNP leaders and workers in Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria.
