The decision was taken at a special meeting of the university syndicate on Friday, February 16. The matter has been confirmed by three members of the syndicate: Professor Dr. Khairul Islam, Professor Dr. Shamim Uddin Khan, and Muhammad Ali. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. The meeting started at 4 p.m. and ended at 10:30 p.m. in the administrative building of the university, under the chairmanship of Shireen Akhtar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Syndicate member Muhammad Ali said, based on the reports of two investigation committees, the syndicate has decided to remove the accused teacher from the job. We thoroughly analyzed the reports of the two inquiry committees from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Before this, on January 31, Professor of Chemistry Department. A student of that department complained of attempted rape against Mahabubul Matin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The university authorities then decided to suspend the accused teacher from all kinds of academic and administrative activities until further instructions. Also, the complaint against him was sent to the sexual harassment cell the next day. On the same day, the 5-member sexual assault cell started the investigation.
