{"id":12564,"date":"2024-01-30T12:29:54","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T12:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/?p=12564"},"modified":"2024-01-30T12:29:54","modified_gmt":"2024-01-30T12:29:54","slug":"new-markets-should-be-sought-for-exportable-products-including-jute-and-leather-products","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecrimebd.net\/english\/news\/12564\/","title":{"rendered":"New markets should be sought for exportable products, including jute and leather products"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu has directed the Economic Minister and Commercial Councilors under the Ministry of Commerce to find new markets for the country&#8217;s exportable products, including jute and leather products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The state minister also ordered all the commercials to work from now on to ensure one stall of the working country at the Dhaka International Trade Fair next year, i.e., 2025.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Besides, not only exports but also the products that Bangladesh imports from different countries of the world, especially daily necessities, production and price monitoring, and instructions to be sent to the ministry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Today he gave these instructions to the commercial councilors working in 23 countries around the world by connecting online from the conference room of the ministry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The Minister of State for Commerce said that in those countries where imports are greater than exports, we have to work on what alternative products can be exported to balance imports and exports. If there is any trade barrier (tariff or non-tariff), steps should also be taken to solve it quickly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He asked all the commercial councils to send the list to the ministry along with the prices of the first ten import and export products of the working country. Export measures should be taken by finding out what products are in demand in any country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Ahsanul Islam Titu emphasized branding Bangladeshi products by holding regular meetings and seminars with each country&#8217;s importers and exporters, business associations, commercial institutions, and even by building relationships at the individual level. The State Minister advised everyone to work with patriotism to make the goals and objectives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The Minister of State for Commerce said that commercial counselors should be more innovative by suggesting mastering the languages of the countries where they are working and knowing about the commercial statistics among the countries that are in international and regional alliances. He also said that a plan will be formulated by the ministry by next July, and duties should be performed according to the target of the plan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Ahsanul Islam Titu said emphasis should be placed on the diversification of products by reducing the dependence on the garment industry. There are many exportable products from our country, including agrofood, sea food, plastic, ceramic, bicycles, furniture, and tea. Necessary measures should be taken to capture new markets for their exports. Also, alternative markets for imports should be sought on an urgent basis.
