Dhaka Bureau:<\/strong> On the occasion of the auspicious opening of the Rural Journalist Foundation’s (RJF) winter clothing distribution program, a discussion meeting and winter clothing distribution program were held at the Bangladesh Press Council Auditorium on Monday, January 29, at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

Under the chairmanship of RJF Chairman SM Zahirul Islam and Secretary General Md. Bangladesh Press Council Secretary (Additional Secretary), Shyamal Chandra Karmakar was present as the chief guest in the event moderated by Sekender Alam. Lion Md. Gani Mia Babul, President of the Bangabandhu Research Council, was present as the main discussant. Social Environment and Human Rights Implementation Organization Chairman Lion HM Ibrahim Bhuiyan was present as a special guest.<\/p>\n

RJF’s finance secretary and convener of the program implementation committee made a welcome speech. Farooq Islam. RJF organizing secretary, Md. Shafiur Rahman Kazi, literature and publication secretary, Md. Sahidul Islam, Relief and Rehabilitation Secretary. Masud Alam, Women Affairs Secretary Urmi Rahman, RJF Jessore District Branch General Secretary Shubo Ashraf, and General Parishad Member Lovely Akhter Nupur. Poet and rhymer Hossain Farooq recited winter poetry at the event.<\/p>\n

The chief guest of the event, Shyamal Chandra Karmaktar, said that RJF, like every year, is stopping winter clothes by standing next to the needy and helpless people. This is a great initiative. For the past 17 years, RJF Trinamool has been carrying out welfare-oriented programs for the helpless, including establishing the rights of journalists. It certainly deserves praise. If all social organizations like RJF come forward for humanitarian work, the neglected people of society will benefit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
