He died on November 17, 1976 while undergoing treatment at PG Hospital (now Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University) in Dhaka. He was laid to rest at the pleasure of Tangail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On this occasion Santoshe&#8217;s family of Tangail, Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology, muridan, devotees, political, social, cultural organizations are celebrating the day through various programs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maulana Bhasani Vice-Chancellor of Science and Technology University inaugurated the program by laying wreaths at the shrine of the oppressed public leader and visiting the shrine at 7:30 am. Md. Farhad Hossain. Milad and doa mahfil at the central Jame Masjid of Bad Johor University and food for Quran Khatam and orphans will be served at the Shah Nasiruddin Bogdadi Orphanage located on the campus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also, a 3-day long fair is held in the Durbar Hall and nearby areas near Bhasani&#8217;s shrine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani has continuously struggled for the rights and interests of the deprived, neglected and hardworking people throughout his life. Maulana Bhasani stood by the people during the national crisis and encouraged the people to build the Durbar movement. In personal life he was innocent, unassuming and very simple. His simple life is a reflection of his deep love for the country and its people. Maulana Bhasani has struggled throughout his life for the formation of a progressive, democratic, non-communal Bangladesh without exploitation and deprivation. He had ideological unity and political closeness with Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Maulana Bhasani made a very important contribution to the development of Bengali ethnicity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maulana Bhasani was born on December 12, 1880 in Dhangara village of Sirajganj. Although born in Sirajganj, Maulana Bhasani spent most of his life in Tangail.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Farhad Hossain said, I feel blessed to offer flowers to the shrine of Bhasani, a believer in secular politics, a Sufi saint, a believer in socialism and a philanthropist. Efforts continue to preserve Bhasani&#8217;s memory. Also took steps to create archives.
