A maximum of 23 crore cubic feet of gas has been supplied till 10 a.m. on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, due to a lack of supply, a severe gas shortage started in Chittagong and surrounding areas yesterday morning. The customers started getting gas after the pipeline supply started on Friday night. Gas pressure was very low until Saturday morning. After noon, the gas pressure started increasing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Bangladesh Oil, Gas, and Mineral Resources Corporation (Petrobangla) and Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) have informed us of this information. Karnaphuli Gas Company, the gas distribution company of Chittagong, says that the customers of Chittagong have started getting gas even at low pressure. The situation is improving. After the start of gas supply from the terminal to the pipeline, the gas pressure gradually increases. As pressure increases, supply increases. Then it reaches the customer through the distribution company. A maximum of 500 million cubic feet of gas is supplied from one terminal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Director (Operation and Mines) of Petrobangla, Kamruzzaman Khan, said that gas supply has started in the pipeline. Gradually, the pressure is increasing, and the supply is also starting to increase.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Yesterday, the gas supply system in the eastern part of the country broke down after the US company Accelerate Energy&#8217;s LNG terminal, brought in after maintenance, could not be put into operation on time. Due to a technical fault at the terminal, gas supply was disrupted in six districts, including Chittagong, Comilla, and Narayanganj. Ordinary consumers are suffering from not being able to cook food in a sudden disaster without prior notification of the distribution company. In addition, production in industries has also been disrupted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The 6 districts include Chittagong under Karnaphuli Distribution Company (KGDCL), Comilla, Noakhali, Feni, and Laxmipur in Bakhrabad, and Narayanganj in Titas.
