Saying that in the coming days, uncertainty will disappear and happiness will spread\u2014a ray of hope is spreading like a light in everyone&#8217;s soul and mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Today is the first day of 2024. Happy New Year, everyone! Like billions of people around the world, we wish our countless readers &#8216;Happy New Year&#8217;. May the new year be filled with joy and peace.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Expectations and achievements of the past year will be looked forward to, as will new expectations and dreams. Although English New Year celebrations in Bangladesh are not as widespread as Bengali New Year celebrations, the people of Bangladesh are not isolated from the international touch of this festival.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">This new year has brought new challenges to the people of Bangladesh. And just six days later, the 12th National Assembly election. It is the responsibility of the people of Bangladesh to establish a new leadership by making this election a success. Various reactionary groups are involved in conspiracies around the elections. By burning cars, killing people by cutting train lines, and disrupting elections through violence, steps are being taken to establish a dysfunctional state in the country. The new year has presented a challenge and opportunity to Bangladesh on the path of development and progress by defeating all evil forces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">In the new year, people will get the motivation to overcome all the sorrows and hardships and move towards a new life. May the year remove all gloom, uncertainty, violence, greed, and sin from the life of society and from the mind of every human being. May our dear motherland move towards prosperity by stopping the political conflict.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">President Mohammad Sahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the countrymen on the occasion of the New Year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">President Md. Sahabuddin conveyed sincere greetings and congratulations to the countrymen in his message on the occasion of the Christian New Year. In his speech, he said that, in the traditional cycle of time, the Christian New Year brings new dreams and new inspiration. He said,The New Year awakens new hope and new possibilities among everyone. Let&#8217;s leave behind the joys and sorrows of the past year and move forward on the path of great possibilities in the new year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">In her message on the occasion of the Christian New Year, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina extended her sincere greetings to the countrymen and expatriate Bengalis and said that today we are going to leave behind the time and emerge in the light of the new day. All the achievements of that time are working as a strong platform for our forward journey. Therefore, this new year&#8217;s meridian should be an inspiration to face all the challenges and make use of new possibilities to create a platform to climb to new heights of progress.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He said, I pray that in the new year, harmony, camaraderie, and brotherhood among people will be strengthened, all crises will be removed, all narrowness will be overcome, and everyone&#8217;s life will be filled with endless happiness, peace, and prosperity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The year 2024 has been welcomed by the youth of Bangladesh, people of all ages, starting with children and teenagers. Sending greeting messages to friends and loved ones abroad and wishing them a happy New Year has started on all social media, including Facebook.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The year counting from the date of birth of Jesus Christ is known today as the English year all over the world. However, on February 24, 1582, this calendar was introduced by order of Pope Gregory XIII. That is why it is called the Gregorian calendar.
