A young man named Abdur Rahim Prakash Hridiya (22) has been arrested by the police. On Sunday (December 17) afternoon, Zorarganj Thana police raided Bamansundar market of Katachra Union No. 7 of the upazila and arrested him. Abdur Rahim is the son of Oli Ullah Prakash Shahab Mia of Iman Ali Boli Bari of Ward No. 9 of Katachra Union.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">It is known that on Saturday, December 16, on the occasion of Great Victory Day, leaders and activists of various organizations offered flowers at Baman Sundar FA High School, Shaheed Minar. At noon, when no one was there, Abdur Rahim Prakash Hridiya, wearing a Pakistan jersey and shoes on his feet, climbed the Shaheed Minar, threw flowers, and vandalized the Shaheed Minar with a stick in his hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Nafiz Mohammad Rubaiyat, General Secretary of Katachra Union, Children of Freedom Fighters, said that on Saturday, the leaders of various social organizations paid tribute to the martyrs with flowers on the occasion of December 16 Victory Day at Baman Sundar FA High School Shaheed Minar. At noon, after everyone left, Abdur Rahim Prakash Hridoy (22) dressed in Pakistani jersey and wearing shoes climbed Shaheed Minar, broke the flowers, and vandalized the Shaheed Minar. In this incident, I have filed a case under the Special Powers Act at Zorarganj police station, accusing Hridoy as the plaintiff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Zorarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdullah Al Harun said in the incident of vandalism by Shaheed Minar. A case has been registered against Abdur Rahim Prakash Hriday under special powers at the police station. He will be produced in court on Monday morning. A specialized team of police is questioning him.
