As a result, from now on, a maximum of Tk 2 lakh 50 thousand can be sent directly from the bank to the remittance beneficiary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">On Wednesday, Bangladesh Bank&#8217;s Payment Systems Department issued an instruction in this regard and sent it to all MFS provider organizations operating in the country and to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tapsili Bank. Earlier, remittance income up to Tk 1 lakh 25 thousand could be withdrawn at a time through mobile banking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">According to the instructions regarding the increase in the limit of remittances sent through legal means as MFS, a maximum of Tk 2 lakh 50 thousand (excluding cash incentive money) can be given directly by the bank as MFS to the remittance recipient in the case of distribution through a Mobile Financial Service (MFS) account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">If a beneficiary&#8217;s account balance exceeds Tk 3 lakh as a result of receiving remittance, no new cash in or addition can be made to that account until the balance of the said account comes back to Tk 3 lakh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Apart from the remittance sector, all other transactions of the MFS have to ensure compliance with the instructions issued by the department in April 2022. As a result of this directive, the previously issued circular dated December 2019 has been withdrawn.
