Muslim leaders in at least six swing states vowed on Saturday to unite Muslim communities to take a stand against Biden. However, Muslims have not yet decided who they will support in the 2024 US presidential election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Those six states are among the states that have played a role in the 2020 election of Biden as president. A significant portion of the voters in these states are Muslim and Arab-American. They could become an obstacle to Biden&#8217;s victory in next year&#8217;s election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Zeilani Hussain, director of the Minnesota-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), was asked at a press conference in Dearborn, Michigan, who could be Biden&#8217;s replacement in the election. He said, &#8220;We have not two, but many (candidates). But we are not supporting Trump (former US President Donald Trump) either.\u201d Muslims will decide how other candidates will be interviewed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The campaign titled &#8216;#AbandonBiden&#8217; (Avoid Biden) started after the Muslims of Minnesota in the United States demanded that President Biden call for a ceasefire by October 31 in the face of the Israeli attack on Gaza that killed hundreds of Palestinians. That campaign spanned Michigan, Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Florida.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Although the pressure on US and Israeli officials for a permanent end to the war in Gaza is increasing, they are not agreeing to it. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris also spoke of Israel&#8217;s right to self-defense, echoing Biden&#8217;s support for the Gaza attack on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Muslims in the United States say they do not expect Donald Trump to do anything good for Muslims if he is re-elected president. But they see abstaining from voting for Biden as the only way to change the US government&#8217;s foreign policy. Now it remains to be seen whether Muslim voters turn against Biden en masse or if a small number of voters do not vote for him.
