Elections are imminent. But we haven&#8217;t quite decided yet. A possible date will be communicated through mutual discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He said this after the meeting of the Election Commission with the President on Thursday (November 9) before announcing the schedule for the upcoming National Assembly elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The CEC also said that the purpose of the meeting with the President is to inform him about the preparations of the Election Commission on the occasion of the upcoming national elections. We also briefed the president about the overall preparations for the elections. The president expressed hope that the elections would be free, fair, and peaceful\u2014in an orderly manner. If his cooperation is needed in this regard, he assured<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Kazi Habibul Awal said that the President said that the constitutional system should be maintained at any cost. We are determined to hold elections at the appointed time and in the prescribed manner, as per the constitutional duty imposed on us.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">Whether the election schedule will be announced by November 15, the CEC said, &#8220;We have not decided yet.&#8221; But I will announce it soon, because the time has come.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">On whether the political reality of the polling ground was discussed with the president, the CEC said, No, there was not much discussion about it. We only spoke our words.
