Now, after the arrest of 12 central leaders, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, in connection with the violence in the October 28 General Assembly, the issue of factionalism among the activists is being raised. BNP leaders and activists say that important leaders are being arrested as part of efforts to break the party.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting and the Joint General Secretary of the Awami League suddenly broke pots in the market. Hasan Mahmud. Last Monday, he said that even if the BNP did not participate in the elections, the leaders from the party would participate in the elections. BNP Vice Chairman Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed said that the BNP should go for elections through international mediation. He said the BNP should participate in the polls. If the BNP participates in the elections, I will vote for this party. But for now, I am unable to keep up with the political situation. I am physically very sick. I am not physically fit to keep up with politics. Major Hafiz said, I will look at politics when the election schedule is announced. If my body is healthy, At this stage, he also said that the BNP should go to the elections through international mediation. He did not say anything about who will do the international mediation or how it will be done.<\/p>\n

Target of ‘King’s Party’ Angry, deprived people of BNP: According to sources, ‘King’s Party’ is carrying out strong activities ahead of the 12th parliamentary elections. The two parties named ‘Trinamool BNP’ and ‘BNM’, which were registered by the Election Commission and led by former BNP leaders, are now known as ‘King’s Party’. They are spending busy time looking for ‘qualified candidates’ to participate in the elections. They even said that party and coalition candidates would be given 300 seats in the election. Their main targets are BNP ex-ministers, MPs, undervalued, aggrieved, disillusioned, ex-reformers, ostracized, or exempted leaders. The top leaders have already contacted many people. Trinamool BNP has organized a joining function at the National Press Club today at 11 a.m. Any leader expelled or exempted from BNP for various reasons can join the new party through this event; there is a rumor in politics. Whose names are in discussion? There is speculation in the political arena that some former and current leaders of the BNP will join these two new parties. Of course, only a few names are coming to many people’s mouths. BNP Vice Chairman and former minister Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, the party’s central executive committee member and former education state minister Ehchanul Haque Milan, and joint secretary general and member of parliament Mujibur Rahman Sarwar are among the leaders who are at the top of the discussion.<\/p>\n

Expelled and exempted leaders include BNP’s former vice chairman Shaukat Mahmud, former chairperson’s advisory council member Monirul Haque Chowdhury, Khulna divisional organizational secretary and party’s Khulna metropolitan ex-president Nazrul Islam Manju, Comilla’s former mayor Monirul Islam Sakku, and others. Among the former parliamentarians known as reformers are Sardar Sakhawat Hossain Bakul, Ali Newaz Khayyam, Dr. Ziaul Haque Molla, Nurul Islam Moni, Nazir Hossain, etc. However, most of the discussed leaders are still not willing to make any official comments on this issue. A senior leader of the BNP, who did not disclose his name, said that the party has given the opportunity for such a discussion. Many of them will not leave BNP, but they are embarrassed when the name comes up in the discussion.<\/p>\n

The reason behind the rumors about BNP leaders: The late President Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, was the brave freedom fighter Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmad. Besides, as a senior leader of the party, he hoped to become a member of the National Standing Committee, the highest policy-making forum of the BNP. But a few days ago, he was also mourned by the party for his anti-party discipline activities. He also replied. After that, there was no further discussion on the matter. The team also did not give him any important responsibilities. He is also avoiding party programs, citing illness. Recently, he did not join the Barisal divisional road march program.
