We are firm in that regard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He sat in a meeting with the CEC at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31. The meeting was held in the chief election commissioner&#8217;s own room in the election building of Agargaon in the capital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He said, &#8216;Elections will not be held if the environment is unfavorable; there should be no such misunderstanding among the people. I want to make it clear that the election must be held in the prescribed manner and within the prescribed time. We are firm in that regard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">The CEC said, &#8216;Peter Haas wanted to know how the election environment is. On our part, we have made it clear that we have no option. The Election Commission has to conduct elections on time as per its constitutional obligation. Political parties have different options. They may or may not participate in elections. They can compete in 300 seats individually and can also form alliances. There are various options for political parties, but the Election Commission has no such option.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">He further said, &#8220;We are strongly moving forward to hold the elections.&#8221; Many times, people talk about the favorable and unfavorable environment of the election. They are very meaningful. Whether it is favorable or unfavorable for the elections, our expectation is that the more favorable the environment is, the more likely it is that most of the political parties will participate in the elections and make the environment favorable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #252525; text-align: justify;\">In response to a question, Kazi Habibul Awal said, &#8220;Peter Haas believes that a political solution will be achieved through dialogue.&#8221; This is what we have said and believe. We don&#8217;t think the solution will be through a show of force on the streets. Peter said the same. He also said that this problem will be solved by the tea circle of political parties sitting at one table.
