Correspondent: Junaidur Rahman Roni (22), a motorcycle rider, died tragically after being hit by a long-distance passenger bus in Lohagara. Another person was injured in this incident.
The accident took place on October 20 last Friday around 8 pm on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Chunti of Lohagara upazila in Jangailya area. The deceased is the son of Saleh Ahmed of Rahmania Para of Roni Upazila. Sakib (18), son of deceased Abul Kashem of the same neighborhood, was injured.
The victims were on their way home from Chakria in Cox’s Bazar on their motorcycle when they were hit by a long-distance bus heading to Cox’s Bazar. Roni died on the spot. The injured Shakib is said to be undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
After the incident, the bus driver and the helper quickly left the spot. According to sources, the long-distance bus is in the custody of Dohazari Highway Police Station.
