20,000 Yabas were arrested in Lohagara

Own Correspondent: Police found 20,000 pitch Yaba tablets in a long-distance bus in Lohagara. The police arrested one person named Delwar Hossain (31) for his involvement in the yaba smuggling.

The bus was searched in the Jangailla area of Lohagara upazila on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway on October 8 around 12:30 p.m. This drug smuggler is the son of Hasan, a resident of the Hmila area of Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

The officer-in-charge of Lohagara police station, Md. Rashedul Islam, said that based on secret information, a search was conducted on the Chittagong city-bound bus. In this regard, a case has been registered under the Narcotics Control Act at Lohagara police station.
