Dhaka Bureau: Buses of 30 companies plying on different routes from Mirpur in the capital will transport passengers through e-ticketing. The e-ticketing process will start from Sunday. Public transport plying in Dhaka and surrounding areas will be brought under this ticket gradually.
General Secretary of Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association Khandkar Enayet Ullah informed about this in a press conference on Saturday (November 12).
In the press conference, Khandkar Enayet Ullah said that after January 31, 2023, 60 company buses operating in Dhaka city and 97 company buses in Dhaka and Dhaka suburbs will be brought under e-ticketing from February 28.
He said that if all public transport tickets are covered, order will return to Dhaka city transport. Cars will not stop and take off without scheduled stops, and accidents will not occur. Unequal competition in transportation will stop.
