Mizbaul Haque, Chakria: Police have arrested a person named Mozammel Alam (35) for allegedly marketing fake cigarettes of British American Tobacco Company in Chakria of Cox’s Bazar. Meanwhile, 130 packets of fake derby cigarettes were recovered from his custody. Yesterday Saturday (September 02) around six o’clock in the evening, a team of police under the leadership of Operation Officer of Chakaria police station SI Rajeev Chandra Sarkar conducted the operation in front of the Samity market of Chakaria town.
The arrested fake cigarette marketer Mozammel Alam is the son of Dalilur Rahman of Nuru Market Khondkar Para area of Khagria Union of Satkania Upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chakaria Police Station Javed Mahmud said that British American Tobacco Company’s investigation officer Ashraful Islam filed a case in Chakria Police Station on Sunday. The arrested Mozammel Alam was sent to court this afternoon
