Dainik Azadi has historically played a role in the development and progress of Chittagong. My father late Abdul Khalek, founder editor of Azadi, was the first Muslim engineer in Bangladesh. Hence Azadi played a leading role in the movement-struggle for the conversion of BIT to CUET out of a sense of responsibility towards the engineers. Chuet is a fertile land of genius. So we rejoice in any achievement of Chute. We expect Chuet to play a stronger role in the development and planning of Chittagong. Discussion meeting was followed by blood donation program at Chute Medical Center followed by teacher vs student and officer vs staff friendly football matches and prize distribution. Earlier in the morning, the program started by hoisting the national flag and the university flag from the front of the administrative building-2 of the university. Later, the guests of honor inaugurated the day-long program by flying balloons and doves as symbols of peace. Soon after this, a joy rally was held on the occasion of 21st University Day.
Teachers, officials, employees and students of the university participated in the rally by playing colorful flutes-vuvuzelas and drums. Later, commemorative trees were planted for University Day-2023 in the area adjacent to the central auditorium.
