Huawei launched a specialized knowledge-sharing center in Dhaka

Own Correspondent: Huawei Bangladesh has launched a specialized knowledge-sharing center called ‘Huawei Bangladesh Academy’ in Dhaka. Posts, Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the center at a function organized at Bay’s Gallery in Gulshan on Thursday (November 10).

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Ziming, Department of Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Md. Khalilur Rahman, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah (Senior Secretary) and Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikdar were also present at the opening ceremony. . On behalf of Huawei Bangladesh, its Chief Executive Officer Pan Junfeng, Chief Technical Officer Majian and other senior officials were present.

This seven thousand square feet academy of Huawei is equipped with the latest technology. In addition to state-of-the-art ICT technologies and solutions, engineering courses, the knowledge acquired by Huawei through significant investment in research and development over the past 30 years will also be showcased here to the overall ecosystem partners including government technical officers, telco operators, academicians, CSE/EEE students.

In this event, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mustafa Jabbar, said that the development of information and communication technology has been ongoing in Bangladesh for a long time. Now Bangladesh is becoming the center of talent of this region. One thing that has become clear through the establishment of Huawei Bangladesh Academy is that Bangladesh has qualified to become the talent hub of the region. On the other hand, as a result of its huge investment in research and development since many years, Huawei has acquired numerous ICT patents and know-how and has been contributing to the development of our telecommunication sector by bringing new technologies and solutions to Bangladesh for many years. The goal of Huawei Bangladesh Academy is no exception. I really thank Huawei. I strongly believe that this academy will play a significant role in the development of the ICT sector in Bangladesh.”

Pan Junfeng, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited said, “Our experience and expertise can be helpful for the growth of Bangladesh as well as ecosystem partners. Huawei Bangladesh Academy will become a knowledge hub; Where various experiences and global applications will be discussed. I hope that it will bring together the government, all partners of the ICT sector, teachers-researchers-students in one place to fulfill the goal of Smart Bangladesh”.

This Huawei Bangladesh Academy has four zones with audio-visual support. Advanced facilities include training room, studio-greenroom (video shooting/online training/communication), exhibition and presentation (presentation) area and Huawei Idea Hub.
