November 11 is the founding anniversary of Awami Jubo League. On this day in 1972, the country’s first and largest youth organization was established. Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, one of the organizers of the Liberation War, established this organization on the instructions of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The organization was established with the aim of involving the youth in the struggle to establish a non-communal, democratic and exploitation-free Bangladesh of Bangabandhu’s ideology. Jubo League today has become the largest youth organization in the country through long struggle and sacrifice of thousands of leaders and workers for the last five decades.
