Dhaka Bureau: Bangladeshis can perform Umrah in Saudi Arabia, even in transit. Only Saudi and Flynn Airlines passengers will get this facility. Besides, the duration of the Umrah visa has been increased from 1 month to 3 months. Bangladeshi passengers can visit the country even with this visa.
Minister of State for Religion Faridul Haque Khan gave this information after a meeting with a delegation led by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Tawfiq bin Fauzan Al Rabiyah, on Wednesday (August 23).
He said those who are going to do Hajj or Umrah or travel, if they are accompanied by some other people, are going to visit somewhere else and have transited in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has agreed to provide accommodation for 4 days in transit. Saudi Arabia said they can perform Umrah there and go to other countries.
State Minister for Religion Faridul Haque Khan also said that permission must be taken in advance in the case of Umrah in transit. Faridul Haque Khan also said what we have said about going to and from Saudi Arabia, reducing the cost of Hajj, and overall cooperation.
